The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Center aims to:
- Bridge basic research and to provide industry-relevant technologies for the energy transformation sector
- Contribute to the development of energy-efficient equipment that helps operation in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way
- Provide a forum for industry and academia to coordinate research and share results at a pre-competitive stage
- Educate and prepare undergraduate and graduate students, as well as engineers from industry to become experts in the field of HVAC&R and to enable them to address energy and environment related challenges of the 21st century by participation in the relevant research, adhering to the most rigorous academic standards
